Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development & Customer Insights Contractor to work with us on a project basis. The goal of this role is to conduct structured research with local businesses, gather insights into their operational challenges, and collaborate with our product development team to design and test pilot digital solutions.

This is a Freelance position with a clear scope and deliverables, offering the opportunity to work closely with a tech startup and gain experience in customer discovery and early-stage product development.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify local businesses in targeted sectors.

Conduct structured interviews (in person, video, or email) to understand business challenges and operational bottlenecks.

Document insights using professional tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Docs, or CRM).

Summarize findings and prepare reports for the product development team.





Coordinate feedback sessions for pilot digital solutions with selected businesses.

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills (English; local language proficiency is a plus).

Ability to conduct professional interviews and document findings clearly.

Experience with data organization tools (Google Sheets, Excel, or similar).

Interest in startups, technology, and problem-solving.

Prior experience in market research, business development, or consulting is an advantage but not required.

Deliverables & Reporting:

Demo to clients and Client Acquisition.

Regular summary reports on business insights and challenges identified.

Documentation of pilot feedback sessions with clear recommendations for improvement.

Final project report consolidating findings for the product development team.
