Role Description This full-time, on-site Azure Data Architect & Data Engineering – Lead/Principal Architect role is based in India/Onsite. The person in this position will lead the design and implementation of Azure-based data architectures, including data platforms, data warehouses, and analytics solutions. Daily responsibilities include defining data models, overseeing ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.

The role involves guiding data engineering teams, reviewing solution designs and code, optimizing performance and cost, and enforcing security and compliance standards across the data ecosystem. The architect will also evaluate new Azure and data engineering capabilities, contribute to best practices, and support AI and advanced analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong data architecture skills,



including experience with Data Architecture and Data Modeling on Azure or similar cloud platforms.
- Hands-on expertise in data integration, including Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Data Warehousing design and implementation.
- Experience with Data Governance practices, such as data quality frameworks, metadata management, access control, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Storage) and modern data platform patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor data engineers, and drive solution delivery in complex, enterprise environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and architectures.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics workloads on governed data platforms is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable Azure Data & Lakehouse architectures.

Develop and manage data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Azure Data Factory.

Design data ingestion,



transformation, integration, and ETL/ELT solutions.

Work with ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and other Azure data services.

Implement batch and incremental data processing, CDC, and SCD.

Perform Databricks/Spark, SQL, and pipeline performance optimization.

Implement data quality, validation, security, governance, and lineage.

Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical solutions.
