Role Description The Assistant Professor of English will deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and seminars in English language and literature to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing course materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role involves participating in curriculum review, contributing to departmental meetings, engaging in scholarly activities, and supporting academic events and initiatives.
The Assistant
Professor will maintain high standards of teaching, uphold institutional policies, and foster an inclusive classroom environment. This is a full time, on-site role based at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar I.
Qualifications
- Ability to teach English language and English Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Strong foundation in English Literature and Literature, with the capacity to handle a range of literary genres and periods.
- Experience in Teaching and Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessments.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MA in English) from a recognized institution; PhD or enrollment in a doctoral program is an advantage.
- Effective classroom management, student mentoring, and academic advising skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in academic writing and presentation.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices, continuous professional development, and participation in research or scholarly activities.
- Familiarity with educational technology and learning management systems for enhancing teaching and learning.
