Company Description Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH), founded in 1926 by Dr. Sorabji P. Shroff, is one of North India’s largest tertiary eye care institutes and is celebrating a century of service.
Guided by the belief that sight is a human right, SCEH’s board mandates that at least half of all surgeries are non-paying or highly subsidized, ensuring equal dignity and access for all patients. The network spans Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand, with 7 Surgical Centres and over 100 Vision Centres, having served more than 14 million patients in the last decade. Through its “Sambhav: SCEH 2.0” initiative, the hospital is investing in advanced research, digital patient care, and training future global eye care leaders, across services such as cataract, cornea and eye bank, glaucoma, vitreo-retina, pediatric ophthalmology, ocular oncology, vision rehabilitation, public health, and education and training.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager Human Resources role based at the SCEH facility in Alwar.
The Assistant
Manager HR will oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management for clinical and non-clinical staff. The role involves supporting performance management processes, managing HR documentation and HRIS data, and ensuring compliance with lobar laws and organisational policies.
The Assistant
Manager HR will coordinate training and development activities, assist in employee engagement initiatives, and help address employee relations matters in a fair and transparent manner. The role also requires collaborating with hospital leadership to align HR practices with SCEH’s mission of compassionate, equitable care.
Qualifications
- Strong HR operations skills, including recruitment, on boarding, and employee life cycle management.
- Experience in performance management, HR policy implementation, and compliance with labour and statutory regulations.
- Proficiency in HR documentation, HRIS or HR software tools, and basic data analysis for HR reporting.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills to support employee relations and engagement.
- Ability to coordinate training, development, and capacity-building initiatives for diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or large multi-site organizations is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced workplace, manage multiple priorities, and uphold ethical, non-discriminatory HR practices.
