Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Article Trainee role based in Bengaluru.

The Article

Trainee will assist in direct tax, indirect tax assignments, including compliance reviews, audit support, and preparation of working papers and reports under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities include researching tax provisions and case laws, drafting notes and summaries, and supporting advisory and consulting engagements for clients across various sectors.



The role also involves maintaining documentation, coordinating for information with clients, and supporting representation and litigation-related work. The trainee will gain exposure to multiple practice areas, while developing practical skills in taxation, accounting, and professional communication.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (registered with ICAI) and eligible for articleship training
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, taxation concepts, and basic auditing procedures
- Good analytical and research skills, including the ability to interpret laws, notifications, and case laws
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfortable working with digital documentation and compliance tools
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft structured notes, emails, and reports
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting timelines and quality standards
- Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively in a team, and take responsibility for assigned tasks
- Prior internship or exposure to indirect tax, audit, or compliance work is an advantage but not mandatory
