Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area / Territory Manager to lead and manage field sales operations for Pune.
The ideal candidate should have robust experience in Insurance Sales, Field Sales, Team Management, Target Achievement, and Customer Relationship Management. The candidate must have a solid understanding of the Pune market and be proficient in Marathi.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of field sales executives.
- Drive team performance to consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to improve business performance.
- Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance review sessions for team members.
- Monitor individual and team-level sales performance and take corrective actions where required.
- Oversee day-to-day field sales operations and ensure effective execution of business plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market expansion.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between the field sales team and management.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to improve sales effectiveness.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of overall experience in Insurance Sales.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in leading/managing field sales teams.
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Mandatory proficiency in Marathi – spoken and written.
- Strong understanding of the Pune/local Maharashtra market.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership, people management, and team-handling skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven and field-based sales environment.
- Strong customer relationship and business development skills.
- Immediate joiners are mandatory, or candidates must be able to join within 10 days.
- Candidate must be born and brought up in Pune.
- Strong knowledge of the Pune local market, customer base, and business ecosystem is required.
