Role Description The AGM / DGM – ADL (API) is a full time, in office role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for leading Analytical Development Laboratory activities for active pharmaceutical ingredients. Daily responsibilities include overseeing method development, validation, and transfer for APIs; reviewing and approving analytical protocols, reports, and data; and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The role involves mentoring and supervising analytical scientists, coordinating laboratory workflows, and optimizing analytical techniques to support R&D;, process development, and QC functions.





The AGM / DGM will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support audits and regulatory submissions, troubleshoot complex analytical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory operations and documentation practices.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in analytical method development and validation for APIs, including HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and related techniques.
- Proficiency in managing ADL activities, data review, documentation, and adherence to regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, cGMP).
- Experience leading and mentoring laboratory teams, with skills in planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
- Ability to collaborate with R&D;, QC, and regulatory teams to support technology transfer, troubleshooting, and audit readiness.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail and data integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, SOPs, and cross-functional coordination.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in API analytical development, preferably in a API pharmaceutical environment.
- Familiarity with reference standards, metabolites, and impurity profiling is an advantage.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and ethical laboratory practices.
