Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune Division. The accountant will manage daily bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate ledgers.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, handling accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, preparing reports for management, and coordinating with internal teams and external auditors as needed.



The accountant is expected to maintain strong internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking in a corporate or service-focused environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of spreadsheets, formulas, and basic data analysis tools.
- Ability to interpret financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, and prepare accurate management reports.
- Knowledge of relevant taxation, compliance requirements, and statutory regulations applicable in India.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in consumer services or a similar industry is preferred but not mandatory.
