Role Description The Academic Counsellor will provide guidance and support to prospective and current learners and their families, helping them understand Kytocode’s programs and select suitable learning paths. In this full-time remote role, the Academic Counsellor will conduct online consultations, assess learner interests and abilities, and recommend appropriate courses and progression plans. Daily responsibilities include responding to inquiries, explaining curriculum options, aligning student goals with program outcomes,



and maintaining accurate records of counselling sessions and academic plans.

The role also involves collaborating with mentors and the academic team to monitor learner progress, address concerns, and support engagement and retention.

The Academic

Counsellor will contribute to continuous improvement of advising processes and help ensure a positive, learner-centered experience.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising to support learners in selecting appropriate courses and learning paths.
- Solid Communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with students, families, and internal teams.
- Experience or training in Career Counseling and Education, ideally with exposure to technology or STEM-related programs.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, full-time environment with good time management and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Comfort using online communication tools, learning platforms, and basic office software for virtual counselling and documentation.
- Empathetic, learner-focused approach with the ability to build trust and encourage student motivation and confidence.
