What you will be doing:

As the Assistant Manager/ Manager Payroll & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, statutory compliance, and governance initiatives across the organization. The role will focus on ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory regulations, and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.

The incumbent will work closely with HR, Finance, Legal, external payroll vendors, statutory authorities, and employees to support payroll administration, compliance management, audits,



and regulatory reporting while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements.

This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's compliance framework, ensuring payroll accuracy, mitigating regulatory risks, supporting employee satisfaction, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of HR and business operations.

You will be contributing to that vision by

Payroll Management

- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement, reimbursements, bonuses, incentives, and full & final settlements.
- Validate payroll inputs such as attendance, leaves, new joiners, exits, salary revisions, and variable pay.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related queries.
- Prepare payroll reports, MIS, and reconciliations for management review.

Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Manage PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, and other statutory compliances.
- Oversee timely filing of statutory returns and payments.
- Handle labor law audits and inspections and coordinate with government authorities when required.
- Maintain statutory records, registers, and documentation as per legal requirements.

Compliance & Governance

- Monitor changes in labor laws and ensure organizational compliance.
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and identify areas for improvement.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.

Employee Support

- Address employee queries related to payroll, taxation, benefits, and statutory deductions.
- Support onboarding and exit processes from a payroll and compliance perspective.
- Assist employees with PF transfers, withdrawals, UAN-related issues, and tax declarations.
