Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer with 8–9+ years of overall experience, including a minimum of 5 years of hands-on Laravel development experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable SaaS-based products. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP frameworks, backend architecture, APIs, database design, and cloud-ready product development. You will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, high-performing, and reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and Laravel, with exposure to Symfony, CodeIgniter, or similar frameworks considered an advantage.
- Build and enhance SaaS-based product modules, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Work on database design, optimization, and query performance using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization,



data protection, and secure coding standards.
- Work with version control systems such as Git.
- Coordinate with DevOps teams for deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based hosting environments.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 8–9+ years of overall professional experience in PHP-based application development.
- Minimum 5 years of strong hands-on experience in Laravel development.
- Experience working on SaaS-based products or cloud-based web applications.
- Robust understanding of OOP concepts, MVC architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, JWT, and third-party integrations.
- Proficiency in MySQL / PostgreSQL with experience in database design and optimization.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX; knowledge of Vue.js, React, or Angular is an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Jira and Git, along with familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Linux, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Good communication and documentation skills.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
