An Energy Auditor will be responsible for conducting Detailed Energy Audits of Industries, Commercial premises and preparing the Energy Audit Report with Energy Conservation Measures for the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Energy Assessments: Perform on-site evaluations of buildings, facilities, or industrial systems to assess energy consumption patterns and identify inefficiencies.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect data on energy use (e.g., electricity, heating, cooling) and system performance, using tools like energy meters, thermographic cameras, and diagnostic instruments.
- Identify Energy-Saving Opportunities: Pinpoint areas where energy is being wasted, such as inefficient lighting, HVAC systems, insulation, or appliances, and suggest improvements or upgrades.
- Develop Energy Efficiency Recommendations: Propose practical, cost-effective energy-saving solutions.
- Generate Reports: Create detailed energy audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and cost-benefit analyses,
helping clients understand potential savings and return on investment.
- Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients to explain audit results and offer guidance on implementing energy efficiency measures.
- Stay Updated on Regulations and Technology: Keep current on energy codes, standards, and emerging energy-effective technologies and practices.
- Monitor Energy Systems: In some cases, conduct follow-up assessments to monitor the performance of energy-saving measures over time.
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Provide estimated costs for suggested energy improvements and assist clients in budgeting for energy efficiency projects.
Required Qualifications
- BEE Certified Energy Auditor/Manager
- B.E. Mechanical/ Electrical/Chemical (M.Tech will be preferred)
- Ready to travel for Energy Audits
