Role & responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Month-End Closure

- Ensure accurate accounting of day-to-day transactions in line with company policies, applicable accounting standards and internal control requirements.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual book closure activities including ledger scrutiny, provisions, accruals, prepayments and expense booking validation.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, schedules, ageing reports and balance sheet hygiene items.
- Coordinate with shared services / corporate finance teams for closure inputs, issue resolution and timely financial reporting.
- Identify accounting gaps, open items and abnormal balances, and drive closure with relevant stakeholders.

Plant Finance & Cost Controlling

- Support monitoring of manufacturing costs, conversion cost, utilities, consumables, repairs and maintenance, manpower cost and other plant overheads.
- Analyze budget vs actual cost movement and highlight key deviations with actionable insights.
- Assist in product costing, cost estimate review, standard cost validation, BOM / routing impact analysis and variance monitoring, wherever applicable.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering and SCM teams to track cost improvement initiatives and operational efficiency levers.
- Prepare cost dashboards and MIS for plant leadership review.

Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

- Support annual operating plan, budget preparation, rolling forecast and business planning exercises for plant finance areas.
- Compile inputs from user departments and validate assumptions for manpower, utilities, consumables, services, maintenance and other operating expenses.
- Prepare periodic MIS covering revenue / cost trends, variance analysis, working capital, capex, inventory and key financial indicators.
- Ensure timely circulation of reports with explicit commentary on exceptions, risks and corrective actions.




- Maintain structured data files and working papers for management review and audit reference.

Inventory, Working Capital & Asset Controls

- Support physical inventory verification, cycle counts, reconciliation of book vs physical stock and closure of inventory differences.
- Monitor inventory ageing, slow / non-moving stock, provisions and inventory valuation controls.
- Coordinate with warehouse, production and SCM teams for material accounting, GR/IR, consumption, scrap, rejection and stock adjustment matters.
- Support fixed asset capitalization, asset tagging, physical verification and CWIP review, as applicable.
- Contribute to working capital improvement through timely controls on inventory, vendor advances, receivables and open items.

Statutory Compliance, Audit & Governance

- Provide timely data and schedules for statutory audit, internal audit, cost audit, tax audit and any other compliance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to DOA, SOPs, financial control matrices and authority approval requirements.
- Support closure of audit observations by coordinating root cause analysis, action plans and evidence submission.
- Maintain proper documentation, maker-checker evidence, approvals and audit trails for financial transactions.
- Escalate control gaps, policy deviations and high-risk items to reporting manager on priority.

Accounts Payable / Receivable and Vendor Support

- Coordinate with procurement, user departments and shared services for invoice processing, PO / non-PO compliance, GRN issues and payment support.
- Monitor vendor advances, debit notes,



credit notes, recoveries, retention, statutory deductions and open reconciliation items.
- Support resolution of vendor queries by ensuring data accuracy and coordination with relevant teams.
- Review ageing and outstanding items periodically to avoid long pending balances.
- Ensure expense classification and cost center mapping accuracy.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

- Act as a finance support partner for manufacturing and support departments by providing reliable financial insights.
- Support cost-benefit analysis, make vs buy evaluation, capex justification and productivity improvement cases, as required.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews and provide finance inputs on cost, compliance and governance implications.
- Drive timely communication of financial risks, budget deviations and improvement opportunities.
- Promote financial discipline and cost consciousness across departments.

Process Improvement, Systems & Digital Enablement

- Work on process simplification, standardization and automation opportunities in finance processes.
- Support SAP FICO / MM integration issue resolution, master data hygiene and transaction accuracy.
- Use MS Excel, Power BI or other reporting tools to improve visibility and data-driven reviews.
- Build repeatable templates for MIS, reconciliations, audit schedules and variance analysis.
- Contribute to digital finance initiatives and system-based controls wherever applicable

Preferred candidate profile

1:- CA / CMA / ICWA / MBA Finance or equivalent finance qualification. CA / CMA Inter with relevant manufacturing finance experience may also be considered based on role fit.

2:- 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in large-scale manufacturing, renewable energy, solar, electronics, engineering, EPC or industrial businesses
