Designation- Manager QualityAbout the role:The purpose of the role is to collaborate with the unit team to improve and sustain quality systems and capability development at the unit level and ensure end to end quality of raw material, packaging material, liquids and finished goodsTYPICAL ROLE REQUIREMENTSQualificationPost Graduate caliber or equivalent - preferably in Chemistry/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Bio-technology/Food technology/DIFATExperience6-8 years of experience in the areas of Quality Assurance and Quality Systems on Food Processing / FMCG –Distillery, Brewery and Beverage IndustryKnowledge & skillsHands on experience and in-depth knowledge of quality management systems, developing quality related SOPs and its controlExperience in handling quality improvement projectsKnowledge of Microsoft Office packageCertified lead auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 22000, etc.Best Suited for Someone whoExperience in working across functions with various stakeholdersExcellent coaching, influencing and communication skillsAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY PERFORMANCE MEASURES1.Quality OperationsPlay a pivotal role as unit quality manager in collaboration with unit team to improve and sustain quality systems and capability development at unit levelCarry out end of the line inspection of all finished goods at the unit as per UFPS standardsConduct RM/PM inspection as per standards and sensory evaluation of samplesLead root cause problem solving investigations for issues that occur on quality at unitsResponsible for capability development of unit quality team on quality standardsEngage unit quality teams for the implementation of quality standardsEnsure all regulatory requirements to be complied without any deviationsResponsible for planning and conducting periodic Internal Audit,



MRM for FSMSTake appropriate action/approval for QC hold/under deviation/reworked materialEnsure MIS report submission to Unit Head, Cluster QA & QA-HO as & when requiredSupport all inter-departmental teams for ensuring smooth production in line with adherence to quality standardsEnd of line defects (PPM)L1 audit scoreLiquid quality complianceCustomer complaint closure (Lead time & CAPA verificationAdherence to quality standards2Training
- Develop Training calendar and impart training on quality related topics to unit team
- Responsible for certification/implementation of ISO 9000/22000 as per organization requirements.
- Ensure training of unit team for skills such as cross functional, quality etc.3CAPA
- Ensure CAPA to all quality issues including customer complaints if any
- Drive improvements in areas where targets are not met using RCPS methodology
