Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong React Native Developer – Lead to join our development team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will have 5 - 6 years of experience in mobile application development, with strong expertise in React Native and a proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor developers.

As a React Native Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. You will work closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile solutions.

You will also play a key role in technical decision-making, code reviews, architecture discussions, performance optimization, and mentoring the React Native development team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of mobile applications using React Native.
- Own the technical direction and architecture of React Native applications.
- Translate business and product requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Develop reusable, clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Build and maintain applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
- Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, third-party services, and backend systems.
- Implement effective state management using Redux, Redux Toolkit, Thunk, Saga, or other suitable solutions.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Establish and maintain development standards, coding guidelines, and technical documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level React Native developers.
- Conduct technical discussions and support the team in solving complex development challenges.




- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions.
- Review technical requirements and provide accurate development estimates.
- Monitor application performance and implement improvements where required.
- Stay updated with the latest React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, mobile development trends, libraries, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the team's development processes and engineering practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 - 6 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
- Robust hands-on experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying production-grade mobile applications for Android and iOS.
- Strong understanding of React Native architecture, components, hooks, navigation, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience with RESTful API integration and asynchronous operations.
- Hands-on experience with Redux/Redux Toolkit and middleware such as Thunk or Saga.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, ES6+, React, and modern development practices.
- Experience with Git and Git-based version control workflows.
- Good understanding of mobile application lifecycle, debugging, testing, and deployment processes.
- Experience working with Android Studio and Xcode.
- Strong understanding of software development principles,



design patterns, and clean architecture.
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs, libraries, and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of application performance optimization and memory management.
- Ability to write clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead and guide the React Native development team in day-to-day technical activities.
- Mentor developers and help them improve their technical skills and coding practices.
- Review code and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Support team members in troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
- Conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions and encourage continuous learning.
- Participate in technical interviews and assist in evaluating React Native candidates when required.
- Help define technical standards and ensure consistent implementation across projects.
- Take ownership of technical deliverables and ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Experience with TypeScript in large-scale applications.
- Experience with React Native CLI and Expo.
- Knowledge of Firebase, Push Notifications, Analytics, Crash Reporting, and other mobile services.
- Experience with Google Play Billing and Apple In-App Purchases (IAP), including in-app subscriptions and payment integrations.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS applications.
- Experience with Jest, React Native Testing Library, or other testing frameworks.
- Experience with mobile app deployment through Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Experience working with cloud services such as AWS or Firebase is a plus.
- Previous experience leading a development team or owning end-to-end mobile projects is highly preferred.
