ABOUT THE JOB
Role Overview: The Vice President - CEO Office is a pivotal enterprise execution role responsible for translating CEO priorities into structured programs, governance mechanisms, and measurable business outcomes. The role works directly with the CEO and extensively with Business Unit leaders and Corporate Function heads to drive business critical projects, annual business charters, enterprise performance reviews, and cross-functional transformation initiatives.
This role is central to strengthening organizational alignment, accelerating execution of CEO-sponsored programs, and ensuring that key enterprise priorities are delivered with discipline and impact. The incumbent will act as a co-lead for large transformative projects, bringing together cross-functional teams, enabling faster decision-making, tracking progress against commitments, and ensuring leadership visibility on key risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CEO Programs and Strategic Projects
- CEO-sponsored programs: Partner with the CEO to translate strategic priorities into actionable programs with transparent objectives, owners, milestones, and success measures.
- Strategic projects: Drive high-priority strategic projects that require cross-functional alignment, leadership attention, and disciplined execution across the organization.
- Special initiatives: Lead structured problem-solving and execution support for business opportunities, organizational priorities, and projects directly sponsored by the CEO.
Annual Charters and Strategic Planning Rhythm
- Annual charter facilitation: Facilitate the annual business charter process across Business Units and Corporate Functions, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and CEO expectations.
- Co-creation with leaders:
Work with Business Unit CEOs and Functional Heads to co-create annual charters, define key initiatives, clarify interdependencies, and establish measurable outcomes.
- Charter governance: Track execution of annual charter commitments throughout the year, highlight progress and gaps, and ensure timely leadership attention on risks and deviations.
Enterprise Performance Reviews
- Performance review cadence: Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual enterprise performance reviews to monitor progress against strategic priorities, business commitments, and transformation outcomes.
- Executive insights: Consolidate performance inputs, identify key themes, and provide CEO-ready insights on progress, risks, decisions required, and areas needing intervention.
- Outcome orientation: Ensure reviews remain focused on business impact, execution discipline, growth priorities, profitability improvement, and timely closure of leadership actions.
CEO Office Governance
- Operating rhythm: Establish and manage the CEO Office governance rhythm, including review forums, action tracking, leadership follow-ups, and structured communication of priorities.
- Dashboards and scorecards: Develop and maintain CEO dashboards, strategic scorecards, and executive trackers to provide visibility on key programs, commitments, and business outcomes.
- Action closure: Ensure decisions and action items from CEO and leadership reviews are clearly owned, tracked, escalated where required,
and closed within committed timelines.
Cross-functional Program Leadership
- Program co-leadership: Act as a co-lead for large transformative projects, working with business and functional leaders to define the program architecture, governance, milestones, and benefits realization plan.
- Organizational alignment: Drive collaboration across Sales, Delivery, Finance, People Practice, Marketing, Technology, and Corporate Functions to enable collective ownership of enterprise outcomes.
- Issue resolution: Identify execution bottlenecks, resolve cross-functional dependencies, and enable faster decision-making through structured governance and leadership engagement.
Business Leader Partnership
- Leadership engagement: Work extensively with Business Unit leaders and Corporate Function heads to align priorities, support execution, and strengthen the linkage between strategic intent and operational delivery.
- Trusted coordination point: Serve as a credible coordination point for initiatives requiring CEO sponsorship, cross-functional alignment, and sustained executive attention.
- Communication and follow-through: Prepare crisp executive updates, decision notes, review materials, and follow-through mechanisms that improve speed, transparency, and accountability.
Integration of Strategic Acquisitions
- Integration support: Provide light-touch governance and cross-functional coordination support for integration of acquired entities, where required, to ensure integration milestones and intended business outcomes are achieved.
- Leadership visibility: Track key integration dependencies and risks and provide structured visibility to the CEO and relevant leaders on progress, issues, and decisions required.
