Job Summary

Mikan Engineering and Construction Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Tekla Detailer with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in structural steel detailing and Tekla Structures.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of structural steel detailing, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, connection detailing, and BIM workflows. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling complex projects and guiding junior detailers.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
- Develop accurate fabrication/shop drawings, erection drawings, GA drawings, assembly drawings, and part drawings.
- Prepare steel connection details based on design drawings and engineering requirements.
- Review structural design drawings and identify discrepancies before detailing.
- Ensure all drawings and models comply with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Generate and verify Material Take-Off (MTO), Bolt Lists, and fabrication data.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, fabricators, project managers, and other disciplines.
- Handle design changes, revisions, and RFI-related detailing requirements.
- Perform thorough quality checks of models and drawings before submission.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, constructability, and fabrication feasibility.
- Coordinate with international project teams and clients when required.
- Manage detailing activities and deliverables to meet project schedules.
- Guide, train, and review the work of junior and intermediate Tekla detailers.
- Troubleshoot modeling and detailing issues and provide practical solutions.
- Maintain proper project documentation and follow company detailing procedures and standards.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in structural steel detailing.




- Excellent hands-on experience in Tekla Structures.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Good understanding of structural drawings and engineering concepts.
- Strong knowledge of steel connections, bolts, plates, beams, columns, bracings, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous steel.
- Experience in preparing fabrication and erection drawings.
- Knowledge of relevant Indian and International standards/codes.
- Ability to independently handle projects from modeling through final drawing delivery.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working on international structural steel projects.
- Knowledge of AISC, BS, Eurocode, and other international standards.
- Experience with industrial, commercial, warehouse, platform, pipe rack, and other steel structures.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM workflows.
- Experience with Tekla model checking and clash detection.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to lead a detailing team and manage project deliverables.
- Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
