About LEAP: LEAP provides industry-oriented Product Driven Learning (PDL) to STEM institutes by focussed programs from 1 to final year of BTech/BSc/MSc. LEAP is founded and run by IIT professors and industry veterans. Self-raising iron1st BTech NIE Mysuru In 1 year, LEAP students work in teams to improve existing products. In 2 year, students design and build a working prototype to solve a problem of society. These are typically robotic devices for agriculture, healthcare, home/office automation, etc. In the 3 and 4 years, students acquire industry-oriented skills in depth through mini-projects, internships and major projects. In all LEAP programs, students are guided by their college faculty plus LEAP experts and trainers.
Job description The job provides opportunities to learn product development by training students in LEAP product-driven learning. Helps build foundations for a career in teaching or industry. Responsibilities include:
Supporting LEAP Programs for institutes including
- supporting experts for taking sessions,
- helping students during hands-on activities,
- coordinating with institutes (faculty, students and management)
Supporting course content development Supporting other LEAP activities, helping to achieve LEAP goals
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma / BTech. or equivalent
- Valuable written and verbal communications
- Academic/Industry experience will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of Robotics and embedded systems (e.g. with Arduino/ESP32/Raspberry PI) and/or knowledge of 3D printing, CAD software will be an added advantage
Salary: Rs. 20,000-Rs. 25,000 per month, initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance and need.
