Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Draughtsman with strong knowledge of AutoCAD drafting for loose furniture. The candidate should be capable of preparing detailed furniture drawings, understanding furniture construction, materials, hardware, and manufacturing requirements. The role requires accuracy in drafting, layer management, and preparation of production-ready drawings.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for loose furniture items such as wardrobes, beds, sofas, tables, consoles, TV units, side tables, and storage units.

· Create shop drawings, working drawings, and production drawings with proper dimensions and specifications.

· Maintain and manage AutoCAD layers, blocks, layouts, and drawing standards.

· Coordinate with designers, production teams, and vendors to ensure drawing accuracy.

· Revise drawings based on site conditions, client requirements, and production feedback.

· Prepare cutting lists and basic BOQ details when required.

· Ensure all drawings are updated and organized in project folders.

Required Skills & Knowledge

· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D Drafting.

· Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot for technical documentation, material research, drafting support, and improving work efficiency.

· Ability to leverage AI for research on materials, hardware, furniture trends, and manufacturing processes.

· Knowledge of loose furniture drafting and furniture construction details.

· Understanding of furniture materials such as:

o MDF

o HDHMR

o Plywood

o Solid Wood

· Knowledge of standard material thicknesses (6mm,



9mm, 12mm, 16mm, 18mm, 25mm, etc.).

· Understanding of furniture hardware and fittings such as hinges, channels, handles, locks, and connectors.

· Ability to read and interpret design drawings and convert them into production-ready drawings.

· Valuable understanding of furniture manufacturing processes and site execution requirements.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in dimensions and drafting standards.

Qualification

· Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

· Relevant experience in furniture manufacturing, interior fit-outs, or modular furniture drafting.

Experience

1–3 Years of experience in furniture drafting, interior fit-out drafting, or production drawings.

Preferred Candidate Profile

· Experience in luxury residential furniture projects.

· Familiarity with furniture manufacturing workshops and production processes.

· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

· Strong coordination and communication skills.

· Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot for technical documentation, material research, drafting support, and improving work efficiency.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
