Job Summary:**

The Credit Manager - Secured Credit (Tirupati) is responsible for managing the secured credit portfolio in the Tirupati region, ensuring the quality and profitability of lending operations. This role involves assessing creditworthiness, mitigating risks, and adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:**

- Lead the credit assessment and underwriting process for secured loan applications, including property loans, vehicle loans, and other asset-backed financing.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of borrowers, including income, assets, liabilities, and repayment capacity.
- Evaluate collateral offered for secured loans, ensuring proper valuation, documentation, and enforceability.
- Manage credit risk effectively by identifying potential issues, implementing mitigation strategies, and monitoring portfolio performance.
- Ensure compliance with all internal credit policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve credit proposals within delegated authority limits, or prepare recommendations for higher-level approval.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to facilitate efficient loan processing and customer service.
- Monitor portfolio health, identify early warning signs of default, and initiate corrective actions.




- Handle customer queries and concerns related to credit decisions and loan terms.
- Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance, credit quality, and compliance.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and changes in lending regulations.

Job Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in credit management, specifically within secured lending, preferably in a banking or financial services institution.
- Proven experience in credit assessment, risk analysis, and portfolio management.
- Solid understanding of secured lending products, property valuation, and legal aspects of collateral.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and credit analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and work collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the local market and regulatory environment in Tirupati is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English and Telugu (spoken and written) is essential.
