Description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer - BIW-P at NISSAN in India who will be responsible for the design and development of body-in-white (BIW) systems for our upcoming vehicle models. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automotive engineering, with a focus on BIW design, and will contribute to innovative solutions that enhance vehicle performance and safety.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement body-in-white (BIW) design solutions for new vehicle models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of BIW systems with overall vehicle architecture.
- Conduct structural analysis and optimization of BIW components to meet safety and performance standards.
- Participate in prototype development and testing to validate designs and processes.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and troubleshoot issues as they arise.





Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-8 years of experience in BIW design and development in the automotive industry.
- Proficient in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of materials used in BIW applications and their properties.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools and techniques for structural analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Robust communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with different departments.
