- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
- Define and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines to support a safe and sustainable work setting.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Stay up to date with changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on business operations.
- Identify EHS compliance gaps and implement corrective actions and improvement plans.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and environmental impacts.
- Implement appropriate risk control measures and collaborate with teams to ensure execution of emergency response plans.
- Design and deliver EHS training programs, including safety orientations, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
- Ensure all employees are informed about and compliant with safety protocols and procedures.
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Analyze root causes, document findings, and implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and site inspections to assess compliance and highlight areas for improvement.
- Develop and track corrective action plans based on audit outcomes and ensure timely resolution.
- Initiate and manage environmental sustainability efforts such as waste reduction, pollution prevention, and energy conservation.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics and sustainability progress.
- Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
