Supervision Received:

- Receives technical and operational guidance from assigned Area Construction Manager or other assigned supervising manager.

Supervision Exercised:

- Provides technical and administrative direction to contractors.

Contacts:

- Jobsite contacts are with jobsite personnel including subcontractors/craft professionals and the customers resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.

Major Responsibilities:

- Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor s management staff within the area of responsibility.
- Monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
- Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements
- Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
- Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.




- Coordinates with engineering on constructability issues

Education and Experience Requirements:

- A recognized degree in Electrical engineering or scientific discipline. Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Technical knowledge of all phases of Electrical construction activities relating to a single or multiple area including testing methods.
- Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Instrumentation engineering/construction activities is desirable.
- Knowledge of Indian standards and specification and codes as applicable, including various safety procedures and practices associated with the construction activities.
- Familiar with Bechtels Business Ethics handbook and policies.
- Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety Health (ESH) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of Bechtels Zero Accidents safety program.
- Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/subcontractors responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
- Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors/craft professionals.
