Product Owner, Serialization & Traceability

6-Month Contract | Fully Remote | Occasional Travel | Strong Extension Potential

We're supporting a global manufacturing and supply chain organisation in the search for an experienced Product Owner, Serialization & Traceability to take ownership of a business-critical serialization ecosystem supporting manufacturing, regulatory compliance and supply chain operations.
This is a fully remote contract position with occasional travel as required. The initial term is 6 months, with a robust likelihood of extension.

The Role

As Product Owner, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, roadmap, lifecycle management and operational performance of a complex Serialization & Traceability landscape.
You will work across multiple platforms that support product serialization, aggregation, regulatory reporting, anti-counterfeiting and partner connectivity, ensuring business continuity while driving continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
A key focus of the role will be supporting a major serialization platform transformation programme, helping define the future-state solution, roadmap priorities and long-term product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Serialization & Traceability ecosystem
- Drive prioritisation across regulatory requirements, enhancements, lifecycle activities and transformation initiatives
- Ensure stable and compliant operation of business-critical serialization platforms
- Lead vendor governance and manage relationships with key technology partners and service providers
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites, quality, regulatory, supply chain and digital teams to define priorities and deliver value
- Support audit readiness, validation activities and ongoing GxP compliance
- Oversee incident, problem, change and release management processes
- Contribute to strategic transformation programmes,



including platform modernisation and simplification initiatives
- Provide leadership across a matrix environment, working closely with delivery and functional specialists

Required Experience

- Proven Product Owner experience within Serialization, Track & Trace, Digital Manufacturing, Supply Chain Systems or MES environments
- Experience managing enterprise applications within highly regulated industries
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical serialization processes and regulations
- Experience owning business-critical platforms and managing operational service delivery
- Track record of delivering complex cross-functional programmes and transformation initiatives
- Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers

Technical & Functional Skills

- Strong knowledge of serialization and traceability processes across manufacturing and supply chain operations
- Understanding of serialization architectures and data flows across L1-L5 environments
- Experience with platforms such as Antares (F2D2, Track4, Sentry), TraceLink, or similar serialization solutions
- Knowledge of global serialization regulations including EMVS, DSCSA and equivalent frameworks
- Experience with SaaS and hybrid application environments
- Understanding of serial number lifecycle management, aggregation, commissioning, decommissioning and regulatory reporting
- Knowledge of GxP regulated environments, validation processes and audit requirements
- Familiarity with APIs, integration concepts and enterprise data exchanges
