nAbout the Role
nThe Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing cost accounting activities, inventory valuation, product costing, financial analysis, and cost optimization initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing/Commissary, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accurate costing, improve profitability, and support strategic business decisions.
nKey Responsibilities
nCost Accounting & Product Costing

- Prepare and maintain product cost sheets and standard costing models.n
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to determine product profitability.n
- Review and monitor actual costs against standard costs.n
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.n
- Perform periodic cost revisions based on changes in raw material prices and operational costs.n

nInventory Accounting & Control

- Manage inventory valuation in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.n
- Monitor inventory movements, stock adjustments, and reconciliations.n
- Analyze inventory ageing, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.n
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy.n
- Ensure timely inventory reconciliations between physical stock and ERP records.n

nFinancial Analysis & Reporting

- Prepare monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and cost analysis reports.n
- Conduct variance analysis for material consumption, production costs, and inventory.n
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.n
