Cost Accountant – Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain SKU-wise product costing for all brands and pack sizes.
Update standard cost, BOMs, and manufacturing cost structures.
Monitor raw material, packaging material, utility, and conversion costs.
Analyze production losses, wastages, and efficiency metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure accurate valuation and accounting of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, WIP, Finished Goods, and Stores & Spares.
Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations and investigate variances.
Review material, yield, labor, utility, and overhead variances against standards and budgets.
Provide corrective action recommendations to management.
Prepare SKU-wise, brand-wise, state-wise, and plant-wise profitability reports.
Support pricing, rebate,



and commercial decision-making.
Assist in preparation of manufacturing budgets and cost forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budget and explain deviations.
Generate monthly cost MIS, inventory reports, COGS analysis, and brewery performance dashboards.
Present cost-related insights to Finance Leadership.
Maintain cost centers, product costing data, and inventory-related master data.
Ensure accurate costing transactions within SAP.
Support internal audits, statutory audits, and cost audits.
Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards, Ind AS, Companies Act, and company policies.
