We are hiring: Chef de Cuisine / Executive Sous Chef – Sorano Mumbai

NOT looking for a hotel executive chef profile

Sorano is opening in Mumbai, and we are looking for a sharp, hands-on chef to join the opening leadership team.

This role is for someone from the modern standalone restaurant / bistro / café / wine-bar world — not a hotel banquet or clipboard-chef profile.

You may currently be a Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Junior Head Chef, or a strong No. 2 who is ready for a bigger stage.

We are looking for someone with:
- Solid taste, flavour, plating, and product sense
- Experience with pastas, sauces, grills, small plates, comfort food, and specials
- The ability to run service calmly and train a team
- Curiosity for new menus, tastings, trials, and guest feedback
- A modern eye for food without making it gimmicky




- Comfort working closely with founders and a Group Culinary Director
- The hunger to help build a kitchen culture that is sharp, fun, proud, and high-quality

This is not a desk role.

We want someone who can cook, lead, taste, improve, train, and grow.

Italian / modern European experience is preferred, but more important is flavour, attitude, learning ability, and hands-on leadership.
