Role Description The Software Engineer in Test role at OptionX is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for back-end services and trading infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and reviewing testable code, building automated test suites, creating performance and reliability tests,



and collaborating closely with software engineers and product teams to ensure system quality. The Software Engineer in Test will analyze defects, improve test coverage, refine CI/CD pipelines, and support release validation to maintain high standards for reliability and performance. The role also requires documenting test strategies and actively contributing to continuous improvement of development and testing practices.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming for building and maintaining automated tests and tools.
Experience with test automation tools, frameworks (e.g., Playwright, JUnit, or similar), and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and team-oriented development workflows.
Familiarity with performance, reliability, and integration testing for high-throughput systems.
