Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to drive the technical direction and execution of projects within our Cyient Insights India team. This role involves leading a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions, and contributing to the overall technical strategy.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
* Architect, design, develop, and implement complex software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
* Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
* Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
* Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to define project requirements and technical specifications.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks, proposing creative solutions to complex problems.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying relevant advancements to enhance our solutions.
* Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategic planning for the engineering department.
* Troubleshoot and debug critical production issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior engineering role.
* Proven expertise in designing and building scalable, distributed systems.
* Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go).
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
* Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
