Responsible for managing the factory’s day-to-day financial records, including purchases, sales, expenses, payroll coordination, GST documentation, vendor payments, customer receivables, bank reconciliation, and production-related costing. The accountant should maintain accurate records of fabric/raw-material purchases, manufacturing expenses, inventory values, and product-wise costs and provide regular profitability and cash-flow reports to management.
Key responsibilities: GST invoices and records; purchase/sales entries; vendor payment tracking; customer outstanding/receivables; bank and cash reconciliation; salary/wage records; expense tracking; coordination with CA for GST/TDS/ITR/statutory filings; inventory-value reconciliation; and monthly P&L;/MIS reporting.
For a small factory initially, 1 full time accountant + external CA should generally be sufficient.
