About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and autonomous Animator to join our team for an exciting VR project built in Unity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality character and weapon animations that meet strict performance constraints. You will work independently from the brief to in-game implementation, owning your assets throughout the development process. This role requires a strong understanding of rigging, skinning, and animation principles, as well as proficiency in Blender and Unity.



Your contributions will directly impact the feel and realism of our VR game, enhancing player immersion and experience.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hand-keyed character and weapon animation, with a portfolio demonstrating quality work suitable for shipping.
Solid skills in rigging and skinning within Blender, including joint placement, weighting, and creating animation controls.
Proficiency in Unity's Animator system, including state machines, transitions, parameters, blend trees, and layers.
Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of tasks from concept through to implementation without close supervision.
Experience with FBX export pipelines from Blender to Unity, understanding scale, axis, normals, and import settings.
Comfortable working within a current Unity project, with at least one full cycle of animation production experience.
