This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Analytics Consultant (Looker/BI) based in India.
This is a senior, developer-focused consulting role for an analytics professional with deep expertise in Looker and LookML. You will design scalable semantic models, build governed BI solutions, and help enterprise clients transform complex data into trusted insights. The role combines hands-on development with data validation, migration projects, performance optimization, and close collaboration with Data Engineering teams. You will also work directly with clients, communicate technical trade-offs, identify risks, and help drive successful delivery across fast-moving projects. A solid emphasis is placed on engineering standards, data quality, reusable architecture, and peer collaboration. You will also have the opportunity to expand your expertise into emerging BI technologies, particularly Omni, while mentoring other developers and taking ownership of production-ready solutions.

Accountabilities:




Design and develop end-to-end Looker semantic models, including model files, views, explores, dimensions, measures, LookML dashboards, and Looks.
Build scalable LookML architectures using reusable base explores, explore inheritance, shared views, structured includes, and curated field exposure.
Implement and maintain row-level security using Looker user attributes and access filters.
Develop dynamic reporting experiences using Liquid templating, parameters, templated filters, and conditional logic.
Optimize BI performance through appropriate caching strategies, datagroups, persistent derived tables, and query-performance tuning.
Manage Looker content, permissions, folders, embedding configurations, and development workflows.
Validate data before development by profiling source tables with SQL and verifying completeness, coverage, quality, and business relevance.
