This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a FIU Analyst - 12 month contract based in India.
This role sits within a Financial Intelligence Unit focused on protecting a quick-moving digital-asset platform from financial crime, money laundering, and terrorist financing.
You will investigate transaction monitoring alerts and blockchain activity, combining data from internal systems, on-chain analytics, and open-source intelligence.
The position offers hands-on exposure to complex financial crime investigations in a regulated fintech and cryptocurrency environment.
You will independently assess unusual customer and transactional behavior and make well-supported decisions on potential risks.
The role also involves preparing concise investigative findings and supporting suspicious activity reporting where appropriate.
You will work closely with senior FIU, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders across international jurisdictions.

Accountabilities:
Independently investigate transaction monitoring alerts and identify activity that may be inconsistent with a customer's profile or expected behavior.
Use transaction monitoring, blockchain analytics, and wallet-screening tools to investigate potentially suspicious on-chain activity and identify relevant risk indicators.
Review KYT alerts, blockchain transactions, customer information, counterparties, and associated activity to determine appropriate case outcomes.
Conduct targeted open-source research on customers, counterparties, and transactional activity when required.
Combine information from internal systems, blockchain intelligence platforms, and external sources to conduct thorough financial crime investigations.
