The Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value clients by delivering tailored financial or business solutions. This role involves maintaining long-term client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and meeting revenue targets. The SRM acts as a strategic advisor and a key point of contact between the organization and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-net-worth or strategic clients.
Build deep relationships by understanding client needs, business models, and goals.
Ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery across all client touchpoints.
Business Development
Identify and pursue recent business opportunities within existing accounts.
Cross-sell and upsell products/services aligned with client needs.
Acquire new high-potential clients to grow the portfolio.
Strategic Advisory
Provide tailored advice and solutions to clients using a consultative approach.
Collaborate with internal specialists (e.g., product, credit, investment teams) to deliver holistic solutions.
Revenue & Performance
Achieve individual and team sales/revenue targets.
Monitor portfolio performance, client profitability, and risk exposure.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure all activities are compliant with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk guidelines.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks in client relationships.
Team Collaboration
Mentor junior relationship managers or associates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client service delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant certification is a plus).
7+ years of experience in relationship management, preferably in financial services, banking, or B2B sales.
