Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Millwright role based in Guyana. The Millwright will install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems used in mining and related operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, and carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment such as pumps, conveyors, and motors. The role involves using hand and power tools to align, assemble, and disassemble machinery, as well as reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals. The Millwright will work closely with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime, adhere to safety standards, and support continuous improvement of equipment performance.
Qualifications




Candidates should possess solid skills in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial machinery.
Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting abilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and equipment issues.
Candidates should possess proficiency in working with Hand Tools and Power Tools commonly used in mechanical and industrial settings.
Relevant technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Industrial, or Maintenance fields is preferred.
Experience in heavy industry, mining, or large-scale manufacturing environments is an advantage.
Knowledge of safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and compliance with occupational health standards.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals, and to document maintenance activities accurately.
Strong teamwork, English communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work shifts and in physically demanding conditions.
