As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure
Platforms team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and
technical processes within the infrastructure engineering
discipline.Professional Services are seeking a highly skilled individual with
strong experience across modern enterprise database technologies, including deep
hands-on expertise on a selection of database technologies including PostgreSQL,
Oracle, Oracle Exadata, CockroachDB, MySQL, MSSQL and enterprise database
administration practices. Experience with Oracle GoldenGate is highly desirable,
particularly for replication, migration, high availability, and cross-platform
data integration use cases. The role primarily supports applications deployed in
Gaia Cloud and AWS Cloud environments, with experience in Azure, GCP, and OCI
also considered.

Job responsibilities




* Understand the firm’s database infrastructure workplace and technology
modernization roadmap.
* Partner with application teams to plan and execute database migrations.
* Migrate workloads to the latest database products and versions on private
cloud or public cloud platforms.
* Provide post-migration expertise to maximize application workload performance
and resiliency.
* Monitor database performance to ensure stable, productive operations.
* Optimize capacity and scalability to meet current and future demand.
* Identify and deliver automation solutions to run performance/capacity
requirements more efficiently.
* Collaborate with developers to refine database schemas, optimize queries, and
improve application performance.

through proactive analysis, enhancements, and after-hours/weekend release
