The Head Varsity Girls' Basketball Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and directing the middle and upper school girls’ basketball program.
The Head Varsity Girls' Basketball Coach supports the experience of Flint Hill students and faculty and embraces the mission, vision, and core values of the school, the Flint Hill Statement of Institutional Equity and Inclusion, and the Portrait of the Flint Hill Student.

This position reports to the Director of Athletics; preference will be given to candidates who can fulfill other full time faculty/staff vacancies at Flint Hill.

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Head Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach, college coach, or elite club-level coach, effective written and oral communication skills, a Bachelor’s Degree, a connection to the youth and local basketball community, an ability to build relationships and work well with others, a sharp perspective on the role of competitive athletics in the educational experience, and the ability to teach full time or fulfill another role in the school.



This position has a competitive pay rate of $8,500 per season.

Principal duties include:
Offer positive leadership by coaching the Varsity program
Oversees the entire girls’ basketball program, including our middle school and junior varsity programs
Hires and selects assistant coaches in collaboration with the Director of Athletics
Plans and develops a budget for the program for approval by the Director of Athletics and the Director of Athletic Operations
Attends admissions-related events that help attract scholar-athletes to the Flint Hill community
Serves as an ambassador for the school and the program by connecting and following up with interested scholar-athletes and families
Conducts out-of-season programs within league rules, such as strength conditioning, summer leagues, and pre/post-season workouts
Connects with Lower School students and families to promote participation and in
