SQL Database Engineer

Datafortune Software Solution is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SQL Database Engineer with 1–2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining SQL-based applications, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring the stability and performance of production databases. This role requires a solid foundation in SQL development and a willingness to work in night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, subqueries. and database scripts.




Provide production support for database related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
Perform data analysis and assist in data migration or ETL activities.
Work with development and QA teams to ensure database stability and performance.
Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
Perform basic query optimization and performance tuning.
Maintain documentation related to SQL code and support processes.
Monitor nightly jobs and proactively handle failures or performance lags.

Required Skills

1–2 years of hands-on experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
Basic knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
Knowledge of any ETL and reporting too
