Job Description: Senior Lead Developer (Java / Microservices)

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Lead Developer to design, build, and scale robust backend systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on expertise in Java, Microservices architecture, AWS cloud services, and a proven ability to solve complex engineering problems. You will play a key role in both High-Level System Design (HLD) and Low-Level System Design (LLD), driving technical decisions that impact scalability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
Own High-Level System Design (HLD) ? define system architecture, service boundaries, data flow, and integration patterns for new and existing systems.
Own Low-Level System Design (LLD) ? translate architecture into detailed class diagrams, database schemas, API contracts, and design patterns.
Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS (container orchestration)



and S3 (object storage).
Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
Apply strong problem-solving skills to debug complex production issues, optimize performance, and improve system reliability.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
Participate in capacity planning, monitoring, and incident response for production systems.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of qualified backend development experience
Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring / Spring Boot).
Solid experience building and maintaining Microservices architectures.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly:
