Basic Function
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing the commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of piping and structural fabrication projects. The role focuses on cost estimation, quantity measurement, budgeting, cost control, contract administration, progress measurement, forecasting, and financial reporting.
The QS works closely with Project Controls, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Clients to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and contractual requirements. The position also provides commercial and cost-control guidance to identify cost-saving opportunities and support overall project profitability.

Minimum Qualifications
Degree or Associate qualification in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.




Solid knowledge of construction/fabrication quantity measurement and cost-control practices.
Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, grasping, repetitive movements, and working within fabrication/shop environments.
Ability to work effectively in both office and fabrication-shop environments.

Minimum Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Engineer, Cost Control Engineer, or similar role.
Experience in construction, EPC, piping, structural, oil & gas, or fabrication projects is preferred.
Experience working with fabrication shops, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients is highly desirable.

1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting
Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs, and project budgets.
Review drawings, specifications, scope of work, and project requirements to determine quantities and costs.
Establish cost baselines and monit
