Role Overview

The Legal Research Associate will support political research, campaign strategy, policy, and public affairs initiatives through legal and regulatory research, political analysis, economic research, and policy development.The role will involve translating complex legal, political, economic, and policy developments into actionable insights, while contributing to campaign planning, manifesto development, election promises, and constituency-level research.

Key ResponsibilitiesLegal & Regulatory Research
- Research election laws, the Representation of the People Act, and the Model Code of Conduct.




- Monitor relevant judgments of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Supreme Court.
- Track notifications, directions, and guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
- Assess legal and regulatory risks associated with campaign activities and communications.
- Review campaign speeches, advertisements, social media content, and other campaign material for compliance.
- Assist in preparing legal briefs, opinions, risk assessments, legal notices, and responses to complaints or regulatory queries.
- Support candidate nomination documentation, affidavits, and election expenditure compliance.

Political, Policy & Governance Research
- Conduct constituency-level research on political, governance, economic, and public policy issues.
