About the Role
Cogdel Digital Signature & Management Services LLP is looking for a 2+ years experienced Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting, GST, TDS and related compliance work for our clients. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of Tally/BUSY, accounting entries, GST returns, TDS calculations and reconciliations and should be capable of handling assigned client accounts with minimum supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update books of accounts using Tally/BUSY or similar accounting software.
- Pass and verify sales, purchase, receipt, payment and journal entries.
- Prepare and review ledgers, trial balance, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
- Handle GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GST reconciliations.
- Verify Input Tax Credit (ITC)
and identify differences between books and GST records.
- Calculate TDS and ensure timely deduction and payment.
- Prepare and assist with TDS returns and reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, creditors and statutory balances.
- Assist in monthly closing and year-end accounting activities.
- Review accounting data and identify errors, omissions and unusual transactions.
- Maintain proper documentation and supporting records for client assignments.
- Coordinate with clients for missing documents and information.
- Assist in internal audit and financial review assignments.
- Track statutory compliance deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Prepare reports and statements required by clients and seniors.
- Maintain confidentiality of client financial and tax information.
Required Skills
Mandatory:
- 2+ years of practical accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of Tally / BUSY.
- Working knowledge of GS
