The role is about developing complete car fragrance products, not just fragrance formulation.

Core job responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end development of new car fragrance and air-freshener products.
- Develop new formats including gel, wooden, paper hanging, gel pockets, vent clips, polymer, liquid and other fragrance delivery systems.
- Identify and evaluate new materials, components, technologies and suppliers.
- Coordinate with Fragrance R&D;, Procurement, Design, Quality, Production, Packaging and Sales/Marketing.
- Conduct product trials and optimize fragrance loading, diffusion, intensity and product life.
- Evaluate material-fragrance compatibility and product stability.
- Conduct performance testing under different temperature and environmental conditions.
- Prepare product specifications, BOM, trial reports and development documentation.
- Coordinate pilot batches and scale-up from laboratory/prototype stage to mass production.
- Work with Procurement to identify suitable vendors and achieve target costing.
- Drive cost optimization and alternative material development.




- Investigate product performance issues and implement improvements.
- Monitor market trends and competitor products to identify new product opportunities.
- Support commercialization and successful launch of new products.
- Ensure new products meet required quality, performance, cost and customer expectations.

Ideal Candidate
- Experience in NPD/Product Development, preferably in car fragrances, air fresheners, perfumes, FMCG, consumer products or related industries.
- Understanding of fragrance delivery systems and different product substrates/materials.
- Experience in prototype development, vendor development, product trials and commercialization.
- Valuable coordination skills across Procurement, Production, Quality, Design and R&D.;
- Strong problem-solving and product-improvement approach.
- Ability to take a product from concept → prototype → testing → pilot → mass production.
