Role Overview
We are looking for a
Java Production Support Engineer
with 1–3 years of experience to support and maintain enterprise applications in a 24x7 production environment. The ideal candidate should have a valuable understanding of Java, strong analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for Java-based applications in a 24x7 support environment.
- Monitor application health and troubleshoot production issues.
- Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
- Support application deployments and maintenance activities.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve application issues.
- Perform log analysis and monitor application performance.
- Create and maintain support documentation and knowledge articles.
- Participate in on-call support and shift rotations as required.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and support processes.
Required Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in Java application support or development.
- Good understanding of Java programming.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Exposure to Shell Scripting is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with ITIL processes or production support tools is a plus.
