Industry: Civil Design (Primary Substation Projects)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Civil Design (Primary Substation Projects) to lead civil and structural engineering activities for cable manufacturing facilities, EHV/HV cable projects, and associated infrastructure. The candidate should have extensive experience in RCC and structural steel design, industrial buildings, cable manufacturing plants, and utility infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and review of RCC and structural steel works for cable manufacturing plants, EHV/HV cable facilities, warehouses, and utility buildings.
- Prepare and review civil and structural designs, calculations, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Design and review foundations for heavy manufacturing equipment, cable production lines, cable drums, cranes, and utility systems.
- Coordinate civil engineering activities with electrical, mechanical, production, and project teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes, National Building Code (NBC),



and industrial safety standards.
- Review engineering deliverables prepared by consultants and contractors and provide technical approvals.
- Support greenfield and brownfield expansion projects, plant modernization, and infrastructure development.
- Provide technical guidance during construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities for design approvals and project coordination.
- Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and adherence to project timelines.

Key Skills
- Strong expertise in RCC and Structural Steel Design.
- Experience in industrial civil design for cable manufacturing plants and utility infrastructure.
- Proficiency in STAAD Pro, ETABS, PROTECTED, and AutoCAD.
- Sound knowledge of IS Codes, NBC, and industrial design standards.
- Experience in foundation design for heavy equipment and industrial structures
