Summary

We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished Manager – 3D to lead our reality-capture and digital twin production pipeline in support of engineering and supply chain initiatives. This senior leadership position demands a rare combination of deep hands-on 3D artistry, mastery of reality-capture workflows, fluency in digital twin/simulation platforms, expertise in XR (AR/VR/MR) development, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams delivering high-fidelity, real-world-accurate 3D environments and simulations.

Roles &

- Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary team of 3D artists, technical artists, scan technicians, XR developers, and digital twin specialists

Own the full lifecycle of digital twin and XR production — from site/asset capture to final validated 3D model to immersive deployment — establishing production pipelines, quality benchmarks, review cycles, and resource planning

Plan, allocate, and track resources across multiple concurrent engineering, supply chain, and XR digital twin projects, ensuring on-time delivery

Manage production schedules, sprints, or agile workflows across capture, modeling, integration, and XR development phases

Direct the planning and execution of 3D laser scanning, LiDAR, and photogrammetry capture for facilities, equipment, and industrial assets

Set and uphold standards for point cloud processing, mesh reconstruction, registration accuracy, and scan-to-BIM/CAD workflows

Guide selection and use of reality-capture hardware and software

Drive development of high-fidelity Digital Twin environments using platforms such as NVIDIA Omniverse (USD workflows, Omniverse Create, Isaac Sim as applicable)

Lead development of XR (AR/VR/MR) experiences and applications for training, remote collaboration, design review, and operational visualization using platforms such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or enterprise XR toolkits

Guide deployment of digital twin and XR content across headsets and other immersive/AR-enabled devices as applicable

Ensure accurate real-world-to-virtual asset fidelity for industrial, manufacturing, and supply chain digital twin and XR use cases

Collaborate with engineering, IoT, and simulation teams to integrate live sensor/operational data into 3D/digital twin/XR environments for real-time monitoring and simulation

Support data-driven visualization of supply chain flows, factory layouts, and asset performance within digital twin and XR environments

Provide expert-level, hands-on guidance on asset creation, cleanup, retopology, and optimization using Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, and Blender

Oversee modeling, texturing, UV layout, and rendering of scan-derived and CAD-derived assets for visualization, simulation, and XR deployment

Review and approve high-fidelity 3D assets, ensuring dimensional accuracy, consistency, and technical specification alignment with source capture data

Guide optimization of scan-heavy and CAD-heavy assets for real-time engines, simulation environments, and XR platforms without loss of engineering-relevant detail (frame-rate and performance requirements for headset deployment)

Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders to align digital twin and XR deliverables with plant, facility, and logistics planning needs

Continuously evaluate and improve capture-to-twin and capture-to-XR pipelines, tools, and workflows conduct detailed reviews and stay ahead of industry advancements in reality capture, simulation, and XR/immersive technology

Skilled &

- Technical Skills:

12+ years of professional experience in 3D art/visualization production, with significant experience in reality capture, photogrammetry, digital twin, or XR (AR/VR/MR) development for engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain environments

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)

Expert-level,

hands-on proficiency (not just familiarity) with:

- Blender
- Autodesk Maya
- Autodesk 3ds Max

Substantial hands-on experience with 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and reality capture workflows — from field capture through point cloud/mesh processing to final asset delivery Practical experience with Digital Twin development and platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Omniverse, USD pipelines)

Hands-on experience developing and deploying XR (AR/VR/MR) applications and experiences, including familiarity with XR and XR-specific interaction/UX design considerations

Familiarity with CAD/BIM ecosystems (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Navisworks) and scan-to-BIM/CAD workflows

Proficiency with real-time and simulation/XR platforms (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Unity Reflect, Twinmotion, or proprietary enterprise visualization/XR tools)

Proficiency with texturing and material authoring tools such as Substance Painter, Substance Designer, or Mari, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Substance 3D, After Effects)

Proven track record managing and leading teams of 5+ artists/technicians, with direct accountability for project scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, and on-time delivery

Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating scan-to-model, digital twin, and/or XR project outcomes, including examples relevant to industrial, engineering, or supply chain contexts

Deep, practical understanding of modeling, UV layout, PBR texturing, retopology, lighting, and rendering pipelines, particularly for CAD- and scan-derived data

Experience optimizing large, dense scan/CAD assets for real-time engines and XR/headset deployment (e.g., Unreal Engine or Unity)
