Job Summary

The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the hospital's physical infrastructure, engineering services, housekeeping, security, safety, maintenance, utilities, and overall facility operations.
Role Overview

The role ensures a safe, clean, functional, compliant, and patient-friendly workplace while minimizing operational disruptions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor day-to-day facility operations and infrastructure.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lifts, generators, UPS, and other utilities.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with AMC vendors and external service providers.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Supervise housekeeping standards and cleanliness across all hospital areas.
- Monitor cleaning schedules, deep cleaning, waste management, and hygiene practices.
- Coordinate with infection control/HIC teams where required.
- Ensure fire safety systems, emergency equipment, CCTV, access control,



and security arrangements are functional.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and coordinate emergency preparedness activities.
- Support hospital emergency and disaster management plans.
- Coordinate facility requirements for OT, diagnostic areas, OPD, wards, pharmacy, and other clinical departments.
- Ensure infrastructure-related issues affecting patient care are addressed promptly.
- Manage facility-related vendors and contractors.
- Monitor AMC contracts, service quality, timelines, and documentation.
- Verify service completion and coordinate billing/approval processes.
- Maintain facility-related records, licences, inspection reports, AMC documents, and statutory compliance records.
- Support NABH and other regulatory audits and ensure closure of facility-related observations.
