About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Automation Test Engineer with robust experience in API/backend test automation, Java, REST Assured, Cucumber, and automation framework development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing backend services and APIs in cloud-based environments, along with exposure to AWS, Splunk or similar observability/log-analysis tools, CI/CD, and performance testing.

Experience with AI/ML-enabled applications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend/API automation test frameworks using Java, REST Assured, and Cucumber.




- Develop automated test scenarios for REST APIs, backend services, microservices, and end-to-end service workflows.
- Create reusable automation components, utilities, test data frameworks, and libraries.
- Analyze API responses, HTTP status codes, request/response payloads, authentication, validations, and error handling.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of backend applications.
- Perform load and performance testing and analyze performance bottlenecks.
- Validate application behavior across AWS-based environments.
- Work with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, and ALB.
- Use Splunk or similar log-monitoring/observability tools to analyze application logs, troubleshoot failures, and support defect investigation.
