Role Description The Supervisor for Employee Transportation will oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant movement of employees across assigned routes and shifts. This includes coordinating vehicle deployment, monitoring driver attendance and performance, verifying trip schedules, and managing route adherence and punctuality. The Supervisor will work closely with the control room to handle escalations, breakdowns, no-shows, and weather-related disruptions, while maintaining explicit communication with corporate stakeholders and employee passengers.
Responsibilities also include ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards, supervising on-road checks, maintaining basic documentation and reports, and supporting continuous process improvements. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Chennai Area.
Qualifications
- Operational supervision skills, including shift coordination, route management, and fleet scheduling.
- Ability to use transport-related technology tools such as GPS tracking systems, routing software, and basic dashboards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, employees, and corporate transport coordinators.
- Knowledge of local transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements relevant to employee transportation.
- Basic data handling skills for recording trips, monitoring SLAs, and preparing daily/weekly operational reports.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to manage contingencies, service disruptions, and on-ground escalations.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, facility management, or related operations is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early morning, late evening, or night shifts as required.
- Minimum of a higher secondary or diploma qualification; a degree in logistics, operations, or business-related fields is an advantage.
