Job Purpose/ Summary

Sub Section Head Pipe Plant Quality Control.

To lead and manage Quality Control activities for stainless steel pipe manufacturing, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, applicable international standards, and internal quality requirements. The role will oversee inspection and testing processes across manufacturing stages, drive quality improvement initiatives, and lead New Product Development (NPD. activities from technical evaluation through successful product validation and commercialization.

The position is responsible for establishing robust inspection systems, reducing defects and customer complaints, strengthening process and product quality, and collaborating with Production, R&D;, Process Engineering, and other functions to develop and introduce new stainless steel pipe products and processes.

Responsibility

Lead overall Quality Control activities for stainless steel pipe manufacturing ensuring compliance with customer specifications applicable standards and internal quality requirementsbr Establish and maintain quality control systems procedures inspection plans and quality checkpoints across the manufacturing processbr Monitor product quality trends and drive corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects rejections and customer complaintsbr Ensure effective implementation of Quality Management System requirements and continuous improvement initiativesbr Supervise incoming material inprocess final inspection and testing activities for stainless steel pipesbr Ensure proper inspection of dimensional surface mechanical chemical metallurgical and other product characteristics as applicablebr Monitor NDT and inspection processes such as UT Eddy Current Hydro Testing PMI Visual Inspection and other applicable methodsbr Ensure calibration validation and reliability of inspection and testing equipmentbr Review inspection reports test certificates and final quality documentation before product releasebr Lead Quality Control activities for New Product Development of stainless steel pipes based on customer requirements and market needsbr Develop quality and inspection criteria for recent grades sizes specifications and applicationsbr Coordinate with RD Production Process Engineering and Marketing teams for trials validation qualification and commercialization of new productsbr Analyze trial results and implement necessary process and quality improvements before mass productionbr Support customer approval product qualification and technical documentation for new productsbr Identify critical quality parameters and establish process controls to improve product consistencybr Conduct root cause analysis for quality failures using appropriate problemsolving methodologiesbr Drive initiatives for reduction of rejection rework process variation and customer complaintsbr Implement statistical and datadriven quality improvement practicesbr Handle customer quality complaints conduct root cause analysis and ensure timely corrective actionsbr Support customer audits product inspections technical discussions and qualification activitiesbr Review customer specifications and translate requirements into appropriate inspection and testing standardsbr Lead and develop the Quality Control and Inspection team ensuring competency and effective deployment of manpowerbr Define performance objectives and provide technical guidance and training to quality personnelbr Promote a strong quality culture across manufacturing and support functionsbr Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ASTM ASME API EN ISO and customerspecific requirements as applicablebr Maintain quality records inspection reports test certificates and product traceability documentationbr Participate in internal external customer and certification audits and ensure closure of audit findingsbr Establish quality KPIs and monitor performance against defined targetsbr Drive continuous improvement projects focused on quality productivity cost reduction and customer satisfactionbr Benchmark inspection and quality practices and implement bestinclass methodologies within the stainless steel pipe manufacturing process
